George Wooditch Jr. is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the District of Columbia. He has spent his entire legal career representing individuals charged with traffic and criminal offenses. He has represented individuals charged with both misdemeanor and felony offenses to include numerous jury trials involving sexual abuse, rape, robbery and murder.
Mr. Wooditch decided to attend Law School in the fall of 1989. He received a Merit Scholarship from the Howard University School of Law and his primary focus has always been criminal law. He was an editor of the Howard Law Journal and a published author. He was a member of the Moot Court Oral Advocacy Team and participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic where he represented individuals charged with crimes in the District of Columbia Superior Court.
Mr. Wooditch began his legal career as a member of the Office of the Public Defender in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Wooditch later joined the Fairfax Office of the Public Defender where he worked for several more years before joining the Law Offices of Patrick N. Anderson in 2004. Mr. Wooditch became a partner in the Law Firm in 2009.
Mr. Wooditch was born in Washington D.C. but has lived in Northern Virginia his entire life. He graduated from the St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes Episcopal School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1980. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York in 1984 and an MBA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1986. He received his J.D. from the Howard University School of Law in 1992.
Mr. Wooditch resides with his wife Lisa and his son Alexander Joseph (“AJ”). Mr. Wooditch enjoys long distance bicycle riding and is an active member in the Living Savior Lutheran Church in Fairfax, Virginia.
